Anmälan

The Swedish Bioenergy Association (SVEBIO), the Swedish Pellets Association (PelletsFörbundet), Bioenergitidningen, and Bioenergy International extend a warm invitation to participants for the Nordic Pellets Conference 2025.

Program and Registration

Study Tour 1: Norrenergi
Start 08:30 – Transfer bus from Scandic Continental Hotel and we will be back 11.45 for lunch at Scandic Continental Hotel.

Norrenergi produce and distribute heat from waste heat and biomass in Solna and Sundbyberg municipalities, just outside Stockholm. Norrenergi is committed to renewable fuels. The heating and cooling solutions contribute to creating a more sustainable society. In recent years, approximately 99 % of the fuels used by Norrenergi heat production comes from waste heat and biomass. Pellets made from wood residues are milled to wood powder at the plant and burnt in large burners. In 2023 Norrenergi used 64 000 ton wood pellets (305 GWh wood pellets).

Study Tour 2: RIKA
Start 09:30 – Local transportation from Scandic Continental Hotel and we will be back 11.45 for lunch at Scandic Continental Hotel.

Enjoy the pleasant atmosphere at the RIKA Premium Store in the center of Stockholm and discover parts of the large RIKA range of pellet and wood stoves. RIKA stoves combine the latest manufacturing technology with genuine craftsmanship. The result is efficient and modern stoves with a classic look. See the emotional flame, listen to the silence and learn about multiair, voice control and the easy to use ash handling solutions developed by Rika.

Study Tour 3: Fittjaverket
Start 08:30 – Transfer bus from Scandic Continental Hotel. We will return for lunch at 11.45 at the Scandic Continental Hotel.

Fittjaverket is a large heat plant close to lage Mälaren in Norsborg, 20 kilometer south of Stockholm city. The plant is used for peak load and as a backup plant to supply heat to the district heating system in the south part of the Stockholm region.

Today mainly wood powder is used as fuel. Wood pellets is stored at the plant and milled to powder when the plant is in operation when needed during November to March.

In 2006, Fittjaverket was rebuild to change fuel from fossil oil as main fuel to wood powder. Fittjaverket consists of two large boilers which are equipped with 4 burners, built for heating oil, tall oil, and wood powder. When Fittjaverket was converted it was equipped with a new flue gas cleaning and a new fuel management system for pellets. The pellets treatment system consists of a reception station for rear tipping trucks. From the reception station, the fuel is transported to a silo, where magnetic materials are separated. Thereafter, the pellets are brought to a mill, where four parallel lines mill the pellets to powder, which is subsequently stored in a powder silo. The powder is dosed and blown to the burners. The maximum heat capacity when using wood powder at Fittjaverket is 140 MW. The total capacity is 200 MW.

This conference will take place at the Scandic Continental Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden. Any questions regarding the hotel contact Maria Zettergren: maria.zettergren@svebio.se
