You are kindly invited to participate in the high-level side event of the 11th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) that will officially launch the new CEM Biofuture Platform Initiative (Wednesday 16 September 2020, 16:00 – 17:00 CET).
As per the decision of the All Member Group Meeting last June, the decision to launch the CEM Biofuture Initiative has been approved by all member countries, following the attached Biofuture Programme of Work for 2020-2021.
All Biofuture Platform countries are therefore able to join this new CEM workstream, which is open to non-CEM members as well.
The event will be co-chaired by the Minister of Mines and Energy of Brazil, Bento Albuquerque, and by the Executive Director of the IEA, Fatih Birol.
