The Swedish Bioenergy Association (SVEBIO), the Swedish Pellets Association (PelletsFörbundet) and Bioenergy International welcomes participants, online and on-site, to Nordic Pellets Conference 2022 in Stockholm, Sweden.
To be held on 11-12 May as a hybrid event with both online and on-site participation options, there are special rates for members of Svebio, PelletsFörbundet, and/or members of Bioenergy Europe and/or World Bioenergy Association (WBA).
Presenting two of our speakers:
- The impact of pulp/newsprint mill closures and a changing climate on forest health and management in Canada – can energy be part of the solution? Is there expansion on the Canadian domestic pellet market demand? Can bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) in Canada be an opportunity for decarbonization in Europe?
Jamie Stephen of TorchLight Bioresources, a bioenergy strategy advisor for governments, heavy industry, utilities, and forest products producers will be on hand to discuss these and other issues. - The energy complex’s impact on future pellet markets – if energy generation using renewable wood pellets remains cheaper than fossil gas going forward, what implications could this have on the European pellet markets? Can domestic and industrial players co-operate in securing supply? Can/will Ørsted act to increase global pellet production, for instance, by committing to long-term offtake contacts?
Put your Q’s directly to Marianne Haave McDonald from Ørsted.
