Time to register for the 8th Advanced Biofuels Conference on 13-15 September, 2022

The Swedish Bioenergy Association (Svebio) invites you to Stockholm in September.

Energy prices are booming, energy security and security of supply have come high on the international agenda. Even though Europe look for fossil imports from other regions than Russia and some countries like to lower their demand for biofuels, the competitiveness and interest for domestic renewable fuels increase. Climate reduction will continue as a top focus and biofuels have remerged as one of the available now alternatives to address both short-term fuel shortages, and medium-term greenhouse gas reduction. Biofuels, as well as our conference, are back on the road again!

The aviation and shipping sectors are being transformed at an increasingly rapid pace, on both the demand and supply side. Oil and gas majors are retrofitting existing refinery assets to produce renewable fuels while others are developing new capacities from a myriad of feedstock sources. Pushed by policymakers and consumers alike, airline- and shipping majors are committing to significant renewable fuel offtakes in the race to zero while competing to stay in the black.

The Advanced Biofuel Conference gathers leading actors and stakeholders in the global biofuels industry. This is where you gain insights and meet people and companiesdeveloping biofuels, and biobased electrofuel projects towards a fossil exit. The conference will also discuss latest developments in European and international policy.

This will bring you:

  • Two conference days 14-15 September, six sessions and some 30 plus high-level speakers covering all modes of transport for drop-in and high-concentrated biofuels.
  • Delegates includes policymakers, politicians, business executives, developers,
    researchers & engineers and stakeholders.
  • Pre-conference study 13th September, visit to the novel PyroCell plant, a state-of-the-art facility that converts sawdust into a biocrude that is used as a refinery co-processing feedstock to produce renewable motor fuel, and potentially sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Visit also to the Colabit company that has a pilot plant for HVO production and plans for large-scale biofuels production at industrial site.
  • A roll-up tabletop mini-expo with technology providers for business networking rounded off by an exclusive conference dinner evening Mini-expo with stands for networking and making business contacts, and an exclusive conference evening dinner.
