The third edition of our popular book "Bioenergy – The Swedish experience" is now available as pdf, free of charge. The book tells the Swedish bioenergy success story. How it all came about, and how bioenergy is used in different sectors of the Swedish society.
The book gives an overview of how biomass is produced and harvested, and how it is refined into fuels. Behind the growth of bioenergy in Sweden are factors like the carbon dioxide tax, introduced in 1991, a consistent political support for renewable energy, and the strong forestry sector.
The author Kjell Andersson is the communications and policy director at Svebio.
