The Wood Pellet Association of Canada (WPAC) Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) is Canada’s largest annual gathering of the Canadian wood pellet industry.
Each year, the event attracts hundreds of wood pellet, biomass and bioenergy professionals from across the country, as well the US, Europe and Asia, to discuss the domestic and international political, legislative, market and operational issues that are having an impact on the industry in Canada.
As Canada celebrates 150 years as a nation, this year the event will be held in Ottawa, ON. The program includes an optional tour of Lauzon Recycled Wood Energy and a tour of an Okofen Boiler heating system in Papineauville, QC as well as a Pellet Party: Celebrating 150 years of sustainable energy in Canada!
An optional post-conference tour, co-organised by IEA Bioenergy Task 32, to Thunder Bay and Atikokan, ON will visit Resolute Forest products pellet plant and OPG’s “black” and “white” pellet power plant conversions.
