Around 300 companies in the bioenergy sector are members of Svebio, and on top of that some one hundered private persons, consultants, researchers, energy advisors etc. Svebio is a well established organisation working to provide the bioenergy business with good conditions and development possibilities in Sweden and internationally.

Svebio works with

• increasing the use of bioenergy in an environmentally and economically optimal way 
  
• spreading knowledge and information on the importance of bioenergy to decision makers and to the public 
  
• influencing the formulation of the political steering instruments for the sector
• increasing exports of Swedish bioenergy technology 
  
• encouraging and initiating research and development in the bioenergy sector

As a member of Svebio you pay

• a member fee to the Swedish Bioenergy Association (Svebio)
  
• a service fee to Svebio's subsidiary handling our services (Svenska Bioenergiföreningens Service AB). The service fee includes VAT and the size of it varies with the size of the member's bioenergy related turn over (see table on service fees in application form)
